The Fairfield Design and Building Process: Six Simple Steps
As the premiere new home builder in Arlington Heights, Mt. Prospect, and the surrounding areas, each new home is carefully designed and built through our time-tested process. Your new home will follow a communication-filled process that includes these six phases:
- Initial Meeting. The getting-to-know one another phase is a critical phase in creating a home around your life and the lives of your family members.
- Home Site Selection. Do you need Fairfield to secure a lot? Do you have your own lot? This step determines the what’s and where’s of your unique homebuilding situation.
- Plan Design. This is when a high-level scope of work and budget are determined. Follow up meetings will be used to create floor plans and exterior selections.
- Contract & Selections. After a contract is executed, the selection process begins (materials, finishes, etc.). Guidance and a helpful eye is provided throughout this phase by our staff.
- Local Design Commission & Permitting. Fairfield does the legwork for approvals and permits (pre-construction) required for your home (a huge benefit!).
- Demolition & Construction. Fairfield does all lot preparation (including demolition for teardowns) followed by the start of the building process. Onward and upward!
